New crossing for White Hart Lane

After years of campaigning, your Liberal Democrat councillors are pleased to see that notices have gone up about the installation of a new crossing on White Hart Lane. The crossing will provide a much safer route for cyclists and pedestrians to access Beaulieu Square and Beaulieu Park School from North Springfield.

White Hart Lane has now been downgraded to a B road (the B1030) following the opening of the new A131 bridge from the Boreham Interchange. Hopefully residents have seen a reduction in traffic, including fewer lorries coming from the quarries.

Liberal Democrat County Councillor Mike Mackrory said, “We have had serious concerns about children crossing this busy part of White Hart Lane from the school. This safe crossing will be a significant benefit to residents in North Springfield. It will allow a more convenient use of the shops and the doctor’s surgery, when it is built, and it will link in with the pedestrian and cycle routes in Beaulieu.”
