On Thursday 18th June there will be a by-election for the Springfield County seat - delayed due to the sad death of Councillor Mike Mackrory in April.
Richard Lee, already a City Councillor for Lawns ward, is standing for the Liberal Democrats. Richard grew up in Chelmsford, attending the same local school that his eldest child now goes to. He's an active member of Chelmsford Litter Wombles and SUPsect Water Wombles, helping clear rubbish from our rivers and local area. He has worked hard to help local people, support community campaigns, and get things done for our area. He got involved in politics because of Mike, and wants to continue his work of standing up for Springfield Division at Essex County Council.
