Richard Lee - a local champion for Springfield
We are delighted to announce that Richard Lee was elected as the new Essex County Council for Springfield on 18th June, with an increased vote share of 54%. This once again proves the Liberal Democrats are the only party able to beat Reform UK and deliver for residents.
Richard will continue his dedicated hard work, having first been elected as parish councillor in 2015 and then a city councillor in The Lawns in 2019. He is committed to community safety, fixing the pothole crisis and listening to residents’ concerns. Richard will secure the legacy of Mike Mackrory, our long-standing councillor for the ward who sadly passed away in April 2026.
