Litter and fly tipping

Overflowing bins in Purbeck Court

Overflowing bins and inconsiderate fly tipping annoy many residents. Cllr Sue Young reported to CHP that the additional litter bin at Purbeck Court and the clothing collection bin were both overflowing with the high winds blowing rubbish all over the area.

CHP immediately contacted their contractor to ensure the bin was emptied and the area cleared. CHP were seeking to contact the owner of the clothing donation bin to ensure it is regulary emptied.

If a bin is full please either find another bin or take your litter/donations home. Leaving bags around a bin is littering or may be classed as fly tipping, both of which attract fines. CHP recently took swift action to deal with flytipping on a green space after a resident provided Cllr Young with photographs and she was able to find out who owned the land.
