The Conservatives have failed our NHS. Chelmsford has lost two GP surgeries in the last year. In their latest inspection report, The Care Quality Commission rated Broomfield Hospital as 'inadequate' and many patients face long waits in A&E.

Successive Conservative governments have underfunded the NHS, pushing it further into crisis, letting patients and hardworking NHS staff down badly. Recent figures for Mid & South Essex NHS show that in February 2023, 3,150 patients waited in A&E for over twelve hours!

Lib Dem Campaigner Marie Goldman said, 'these shocking figures and the closure of vital services are really hitting people in Chelmsford. Local people are waiting ion pain for the treatment they desperately need.'

The Liberal Democrats are calling for a rescue plan for local health services, including recruiting more GPs and bringing in a Carer's Minimum Wage to tackle staff shortages in social care.
