Lib Dems storm to victory in Maldon West

Lib Dem John Driver has stormed to victory in the by-election for a seat on Maldon Town Council. The by-election was caused by the resignation of a sitting councillor.

The vacancy was in the West ward of Maldon Town (the area west of Fambridge Road.

The result was:

Tom Kelly 208

John said, "I am very grateful to all those who voted for me and wanted to thank you for your support. However, regardless of whether you voted for me or another candidate, or decided not to vote, I was elected as a Town councillor to represent ALL the residents of Maldon on issues that affect our community."
