Chelmsford City Showcase: free advice and support for local businesses, on 20 November

On Wednesday 20 November is the fifth "Chelmsford City Showcase for Business". This hugely successful event is a must for anyone involved in business. There are always great presenters for both the key events and seminars.

It is at Anglia Ruskin University and is designed to demonstrate the extent of support and assistance available to businesses of all sizes. The Showcase is organised by the City Council in partnership with the Chelmsford Business Forum and supported by Anglia Ruskin University. Registration is free for local businesses - see here.

The exhibition is supported by key local firms and business support agencies. Overall there are over 40 organisations exhibiting and on hand to provide advice.

It provides an invaluable source of wide-ranging information, help and guidance for all businesses from start-ups to multinationals. Experts will be on hand to give advice to those already trading, organisations considering relocation, or individuals contemplating setting up in business in Chelmsford.

This year the over-arching theme is "Innovation & Entrepreneurship - Take a step forward", with a mix of seminars and an extensive showcase of exhibitors on offer.

The day starts with a breakfast business briefing with two guest speakers, Phil Eckersley, the Bank of England's Agent for the South East & East Anglia and Brooks Newmark MP, the Government's Small Business Ambassador.

Seminars
During the day there will be a choice of eight exciting seminars covering a wide range of topical subjects including social media, communications, the effective use of data and websites, building a brilliant brand and networking. Previous attendees commented: "A thought provoking and worthwhile seminar", "Well presented and good content!", "Enjoyed the interaction", "Very enjoyable. Made me feel good!" This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and for you to 'take a step forward'.
