Ian Gale

Ian Gale represented this Chelmsford West County Division 2005-2009, and Chelmsford East 1997-2001. He also served on Chelmsford Borough Council 2003-07.

As a county councillor Ian has had a special interest in transport and waste management. For the Lib Dems he has led the fight against building incinerators. When he was chair of the county Waste Management sub committee, the decision was taken to switch to a policy of high recycling.

He has lived at his present address in the middle of the new Chelmsford West Division since 1986. He is married with three adult children. He is a governor of Westlands School having been Chair of governors 1998-2001 and is now chair of the school Finance Committee.

Cllr. John Hunnable

Regained Waterhouse Farm ward from Labour in May 1999. First elected to Chelmsford Borough Council in 1976. Mayor of Chelmsford 2003-04.

Former history and economics teacher at Braintree College. Moved to Chelmsford in 1959, when he married his wife Pamela. Interests include railway development, environmental issues and history plus walking coastal paths and travel.
